Celebrating Five Decades of Partnership, Investment, and Impact in Lowell
On October 20, 2026, the Lowell Development & Financial Corporation (LDFC) and The Lowell Plan celebrated a milestone anniversary at Cross River Center, bringing together 225+ civic leaders, business partners, educators, and Public Matters alumni to recognize five decades of collaboration and investment in Lowell’s future.
The anniversary breakfast reflected on the organizations’ longstanding role in advancing economic development, strengthening partnerships, and creating opportunities throughout the community. The program also looked ahead to the next chapter of Lowell’s growth and the shared vision guiding the work ahead.
Special Guests & Remarks
The celebration featured remarks from Adam Baacke, Jeff Bush, Gary Campbell, Mayor Erik Gitschier, Rich Kurth, Dr. Anne Maglia, Dai Kim, LZ Nunn, John Power, Stephanie Klinkenberg Ramirez, Sandi Silk, and Congresswoman Lori Trahan, highlighting the importance of collaboration among public, private, and community partners in supporting Lowell’s continued development.
The anniversary also celebrated the Public Matters community and the partnerships shaping Lowell’s future. Jeff Bush (Class of ’23), Dai Kim (Class of ’26), and Stephanie Klinkenberg Ramirez (Class of ’25) represented the Public Matters alumni network, highlighting the initiative’s role in developing civic leaders.
